Every single product we've ever sold, from our very first drop in 2018 to today, has been lovingly made in the same woman-owned factory in Bogotá, Colombia.
Creating Opportunity
Our factory is led by Ana, who has built a workplace centered around community, respect, and opportunity. She prioritizes hiring single mother heads of households and women over 50. A handful of these people have been making Kitty suits since the very beginning, and others were hired as the factory expanded with the growth of the brand.
Made By Hand
A swimsuit is 75% made by hand thus it takes a high level of skill & experience to master this craft. Unlike most brands, who design on a size XS and grade all sizes from there, we do things differently. We fit-test all Kitty styles on four size ranges: XS–L, XL–1X, 2X–3X, 4X–6X. This allows us to fine-tune each grouping and offer a more tailored fit. This would not be possible without the partnership and expertise of our factory.

Our products are produced ethically in small batches. Our factory workers are paid above minimum wage and provided with retirement plans and healthcare.

Our swimwear line is made using sustainable swim fabric from recycled materials. This fabric is OEKO-TEX certified. We digitally print our fabric rather than dyeing it, which uses far less water.
We have a vertically integrated supply chain, meaning our raw materials are sourced close to our factory. This minimizes our carbon footprint.
We earned our Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015 certification, which shows our commitment to complying with legal requirements and mitigating the environmental impacts of our activity.
